A man at Three Crowns was on several of those gliders in WWII. I guess they only held abt 15 men. We’re the pilots trained in combat as well as flying?
I assume that the pilots would have gone through basic training. Lord knows they weren’t going to fly back out. The men who were passengers were airborne infantry.
